Originally Ajisai was a Chūnin-rank ninja from Amegakure, an expert in Summoning techniques and space-time ninjutsu. Later, she was promoted to Chūnin and died in the execution of an S-rank Mission. Her body was modified to become the Female Animal Path of Pain's Six Paths. After the battle with Pain, Pain's paths were destroyed... or so everyone thought.
