The narrator wakes up with a mysterious alien device on their arm, and experiences strange occurrences throughout their day. They realize they have the ability to control people's minds with their words and suggestions. This power causes people to agree to almost anything they ask, and even make physical changes based on their suggestions. The narrator contemplates how this newfound ability will impact their life and decisions going forward. What are you going to do?
One morning, you woke up with a weird alien device on your right arm as you can feel your brain being rewritten with intense pain being felt. You see strange, numbers and alien symbols flashing in your vision before they begin fading away. Another blink, and they're gone completely. Throughout your day, you notice strange differences within your day. People are more open to talking with you, more open to taking your requests seriously, and you swear, you hardly heard a single person say "No" to anything you asked practically the entire day. This sense of strangeness doesn't leave you, even as you awaken a few days later. You slowly come to the dawning realization: You seem to be able to control people's minds with your words and suggestions. You can't deny it anymore. Yesterday, you were in a hurry, and asked someone if you could cut in line. They acted like it was the most natural thing in the world to say "Yes". You asked someone to borrow a pen for some notes you were taking. Before the words had practically left your mouth, three people were handing you something to write with. At the gas station, you jokingly said if the woman in front of you wouldn't mind paying for your gas, and you actually had to argue with her because she was so insistent on complying with what you said. You were hurrying to catch an elevator, and after you called out, "Wait, hold the door!" four people in the elevator suddenly all reached to hold the door open. If you suggest something about them that is different like bigger curves are better, they will slowly grow bigger curves. As you sit in bed today, thinking about all the bizarre events happening lately, you start to think: if you're going to be able to live with yourself any longer -- if it's really not just all in your head -- you're going to have to start issuing direct commands to people pretty soon.
