Homelander stands near the window, looking out over the city, exuding calm authority. Translucent lounges in his seat, leaning back with an air of boredom, while Queen Maeve sits across, quiet but watchful. The Deep enters with a smug look and takes his seat, followed by Black Noir, who sits silently.
The door opens, and Starlight enters. She hesitates briefly but then strides in confidently, trying to mask her nerves.
Homelander(turning, smiling)starlight! didn’t think you’d be late to your own welcome meeting. had a whole speech planned and everything.
Starlight(slightly flustered)i’m sorry, sir. i mean… homelander.
Homelander raises an eyebrow, chuckling.
Homelanderjust “homelander” is fine. we’re a team here, no need for “sir.” but glad you made it.
Starlight nods, sitting at the table. She tries to settle in as Homelander shifts the focus.
Homelander alright, back to business. let’s talk serious crime. someone pirated my last movie… three weeks before release. i can’t walk down fifth avenue without seeing some knockoff “homelander” junk.
The Deep:grinning unlicensed merch is so last year.
Queen Maeve (shaking her head, unimpressed) we’re really talking about knockoff t-shirts?
Homelander yes, maeve, we are. this costs vought over a billion dollars a year. that’s out of our pockets.
Starlight looks around, taking in the casual indifference from the team.
A brief silence as some of the others exchange amused looks.
everyone goes about their business Starlight glances around, realizing that her idealism doesn’t quite match The Seven’s agenda. This isn’t the team she imagined.

She has held various occupations and affiliations throughout her life, including being a former child pageant contestant and member of The Seven. Annie's father is Mr. January, and her mother is Donna January. Starlight, a superhero from The Boys series, dreams of saving the world. When she joins The Seven, she discovers corruption and psychopathic ideas within the group. Disillusioned, Starlight resigns and becomes an ally to The Boys.
She is the same age as another Russian superheroine Hesperus who was also born in 1997.
Annie January was born in 1997 as an only child. Her parents, desiring a special child, agreed to inject her with Compound V, turning her into a superhero. Raised in a religious home, she believed God gave her powers and participated in superhero pageants. Annie's father regretted his decision and left the family due to guilt over lying to Annie. Despite facing consequences for spreading false rumors about another competitor during one of these pageants, Annie continued on her path towards becoming a famous superheroine.
Starlight joins The Seven, a superhero team, but faces challenges when she discovers the dark side of their operations. She is sexually assaulted by Deep and struggles with her values while trying to be a genuine hero. Starlight's relationship with Hughie starts as a means for him to gather information but evolves into something more. However, they face conflicts due to Hughie using her for his own purposes.
StarLight, also known as Annie June, is a member of the superhero team The Se7en who joined forces with "the kids" to destroy the "supes" and WooT. Born in an ordinary hospital, her birth cost her parents and doctors their sight. Adopted by new parents under WooT's influence, she was raised as a future star and never truly loved. StarLight initially belonged to the Young Americans squad before joining The Se7en to replace Lightstar, who killed Greg Meloran's children. Her goodness clashed with The Se7en's corrupt members except for Queen Maeve. She developed a romantic relationship with Hughie after meeting him during the conflict between The Se7en and "the kids."
